If you prefer mild spice, I would not recommend ordering from here. Everything we ordered was labeled as “mild,” but it turned out to be more like medium to spicy. The only thing I was actually able to eat was the rice. Even my husband, who loves spicy food and is used to eating it all the time, noticed how unusually spicy everything was. I honestly feel like I just threw my money away. If you don’t like spicy food, I would recommend ordering somewhere else.

Bro, I ordered doordash and got an experience. Butter chicken, on point. Paneer naan, filled and tangy. Jalapeño Pakora, perfect. This food actually made my 2 days in Macon worth it. I asked for the butter chicken to be saucy and condiments for the jalepenos and they did not disappoint. Just look at those pictures, wet my guy. Also, the packaging. My food was wrapped with care for delivery.

Everything here is absolutely delicious. This is my favorite Indian restaurant. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The food is all fresh and made to order. The restaurant was recently renovated and has been updated. The inside now looks great. They have a thali special that I attached a picture of. You can get either chicken or vegetarian. It comes with rice, 2 appetizers, 3 entrees, naan, and a mango lassi.

The food is always fresh and delicious. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. The husband is very outgoing and the wife is quiet, but friendly. Service is always prompt and they treat you like family. We keep going back, always a great experience. The food and the hosts make this place a hidden gem. Don't forget to get the masala chai, made fresh. It's hot, aromatic, creamy and exactly what you are looking for. My family and I will be frequenting this place for as long as it's open.

Billy’s Let’s Eat Review of Taj Indian Restaurant on January 15th, 2026 I kept reading about Taj and how everyone kept saying the food is just wonderful! So, needless to say… I had to check it out for myself! I am a HUGE fan of Indian food so my expectations are quite high. The restaurant is located at 5033 Brookhaven Road adjacent to the Walmart. From the outside, it doesn't look like much. But, when you open the door, you're welcomed to a freshly painted super clean restaurant. It’s actually quite large! From the outside, it looks like a small place. Fun Fact: They just reopened after being closed for 5 months. Vibe: It's one of those places where you walk into and appreciate the aromas and feel that you just know that you're in for a treat! So, let's eat!
